So excited! We just completed an open adoption through the iac. If you'd like some ideas or to hear our experience I would love for you to drop us an e-mail and I'll give you a link to our blog and such. We waited 4 months for a match and 2.5 months later we have our baby boy. He is 5 months now. We had an over all awesome experience with only a couple of tiny snags here and there.

It is a great ride to becoming parents!

Bill and Scout - Haven't seen the episode from last night yet, but recognized some of your paperwork. It was great to see that you are using the same agency (IAC) as my partner (Katie)and I. We are going through the NC office and FINALLY finished all our homestudy paperwork! Next step - the actual visits with the social worker (and working on the dear birthmother letter). I don't know if you even read these things - but if you want to keep in touch w/ someone on the east coast who is going through the same thing - shoot me an email. Congrats on your beginning the journey to parenthood!

I've been thinking of open adoption as well and I think it would be cool to watch a great couple like you guys going through it. I'm sure many people agree with me. Watching the Guncles going through the adoption would be a great show all on it's own. You boys are both so cute and sweet. Maybe Tori and Dean could do a crossover episode. I know I'd watch you guys that's for sure. Would be much better than these other shows with kids (besides Tori & Dean of course!). You guys are funny on camera too!
