Racing Like a Pro
Tue July 28
Going back to the track after taking even the smallest amount of time off is a little scary. Racing is something you need to do a lot in order to get faster. Just like any sport, the more you practice, the better you get. I was nervous, but a few laps out on the track and I was back in a groove, not going super fast but feeling comfortable. It's like riding a bike . . . I know, bad pun.
Getting my race license was incredible. I worked so hard for it, and went through an emotional roller coaster in the process. In the end, I persevered and got a lot of support from my wife, family and friends. I was also really proud of myself; I just started racing in November, and now I have my license. Look out AMA, here I come.

Dean,
We are exposed to a glimpse of your previous marriage through your son Jack and he is a wonderful addition to the show and the family that you have now with Tori. My question is why don't you ever talk about your other child in that marriage, don't you have a daughter in that marriage as well? Have you just ignored that child because she was so young when you walked out on her? What happens when she is older and she see's Tori and Dean and watches you be a dad to monkey and stella, and occasionally talk about jack and how much you missed him.. so what about your other baby girl???????
Kimi Guess what you can go back to thoes sitcoms and drama shows HERE HOW CHANGE THE DAMN CHANNEL. Try that and see if it works. OK. I don't understand you type of people if you don't like the show stop watching it. It really is that easy.
You are so right Stephanie! I love watching the show Tori and Dean are just like us and I love that. Dean You are such a great husband and father. Men out in the world need to watch the show and take a few tips from you on how to treat your wife. ALSO LINDSEY FOR YOU NOT LIKING HIM YOU SURE DO KNOW ALOT ABOUT HIM!!!! Stop writing and watching the show if you don't like it these comments are for fans not someone like you. I don't think he married Tori just because her last name. She didn't get really any money in her dads will.
Jessica
kimi
your just as misserable and an idiot as lyndsy, do us all a favor and grow up!!! fix your own d**** life and leave others alone
Lindsy
You are among many of the idiots out there that are not happy in your own life so you want to mess up others lives!! The old addige goes "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anyhin at all" and do us all a favor and fix your own life!!! Leave them alone!!!
Dean... Is it true? Just read online that you might do DANCING WITH THE STARS!?!? That would be amazing - would love to see you on that. PS: My love to Tori and the kids.
I agree with Lindsey...The more I watch the show..the more i can't stand it...I sure wish we could just go back to sitcoms and drama shows...What the heck has our society come to...oh well...can't speak for the rest of you, and this is my own opinion that i am entitled to, i'm done with this show....blah blah blah....hehehe
Lindsey,
Shame on you. It's not your place to judge Dean or Tori, they only have god to answer to for their actions, not you or anyone else! They seem to be regular people like you and me, that just so happen to be hollywood stars. I feel for them having to deal with all they negative people and papparazzi, and all the hooplah that comes with living in the limelight. They are just making a living for their family like everyone else, and providing entertainment, while sharing their lives with their viewers. Lindsey, I will pray for you! I have truly enjoyed watching Tori and Dean and the kids, and I think they are a great family. If Dean and Tori were the monsters that you say they are, you would see it in their children and how they interact with them. Liam and Stella seem to be very expressive and well rounded and very normal tempered kids. From viewing the show, I have watched Dean and Tori grow as parents and as spouses, and their children are adorable. If everyone worked as hard at being positive and happy and treating each other with respect, then maybe our world would be a better place to live.
Dean and his former wife were in the process of adopting - the baby was 3 months old when he came home and dumped her.
Peggy mentioned the look in his eyes is love - it is called ACTING!
I agree that everyone has areas in their lives that are personal but Tori and Dean chose to do a reality show - I also think Candy is not the monster Tori says she is - probably not Mother of the Year - but I doubt Tori was the best daughter. I think Dean worsens the situation between them - they should have private therapy to resolve their issues - I think Tori and Dean would only do it if it were on camera.
I really enjoy watching your show. I really enjoyed watching you take pics for Bill and Scout for the adoption application. Would you ever be interested in taking pics for the public?
You notice most of the comments are positive. No one can judge a situation as removed as we are. Besides, I always say, we all have parts of our lives that would look bad under a microscope. Dean and Tori are in love and raising a family. I am sure Dean will take care of his obligations, as we all do, right. So, people, step off the righteous wagon, people who live in glass house should not throw stones, right? Tori and Mehran, I love the Little Maven line, can't wait to buy some for my grandbabies! Peace
It is great that you went back to racing from a wifes stand appoint I would have been worried just like Tori ,you can see the love that you and her share its great, cant wait to see more next season, and Santa Baby 2!!
All you people bashing Dean and Tori. Why do you watch the show and are reading their blogs.
Love the show, Tori and Dean. Can't wait till next season.
oi do not think he does that at all he seems very supportive he just does not want her to go trough the heart ache again and again her mother is a well not a nice person i think she is very jealous of tori and was with her father also she was the apple of his eye and candy could not stand that. i feel they are great and i love the show and am going to be lost while they are away i just hope they come back omg they have to ..lol i know get a life rite..:)
Dean's ex adopted the little girl as a single parent or did you not know that?
I think your post and Trace are both being a little hard on Dean. I don't believe for a second that he doesn't love Tori because one can't fake what comes through the eyes. You can see he & Tori love each other a lot.
Yes, it sucks that they both left spouses but reading Tori's book gave some insight into that. I'm not saying it's right because people got hurt but when you see T&D together you know why it happened. I wish they had both waited until they were free to see other people but it did not happen that way. From what I read, neither had sex with their spouse after the affair started & both left their spouses soon after getting home.
I also dislike reading people talking about Tori's physical looks as I don't see what everyone is talking about; even without makeup, she's an attractive woman. We all can't be drop dead gorgeous, but it's what we make of what we are BORN with. I know many beautiful looking people that are so UGLY inside. Maybe it's because of Tori's inner beauty that I see what Dean sees. I wish Tori would darken her hair a little more gold as I loved that color on her.
As far as Dean getting a job, last I saw he was working, doing acting as well as trying to get voice overs. Right now Tori is the one able to work more, Dean is home for the kids.
Dean,
You're a terrific guy, husband, and father. I always enjoys watching what you and Tori are doing - I can't believe how packed your days are!
To those of you leaving nasty comments here, stop projecting your miserable self-loathing onto public figures from the safety of blog anonymity. If you liked yourselves, you wouldn't feel the need to post such poison.
Ok so you got your motorcycle license. Now how bout getting a REAL job that will help Tori out a little. It seems like every show you make yourself look like an *ss. By the way, hows your adopted daughter that you never speak about?
how awful for you to say those things. Dean is a great husband and I think he treats her well. If you had read her books you would know that for awhile Tori didn't have a lot of money. So to say Dean married her because she is a Spelling is plain wrong!!
You are a piece of work. You only married Tori because she was a Spelling.
I cannot believe how many people admire you - you are a man who left a wife and two small children to further your career.
Your ex is way better looking than that freak of a wife - nice b**bs and face.
Dean, congrats on the license! I know how exciting it is to ride; I also know how terrifying it is when your hubby is into dangerous sports. Please try to find a happy medium so that it does not come between you & T. This advice goes to T too.
I don't understand why Jack isn't being shown or mentioned lately. Hopefully he will be mentioned on the next episode; I hope he was able to go to Stella's party.
You may never understand why the parties are so large; it's a girl thing. lol
We fans appreciate being able to see your kids grow up. They are both getting so big, where has the time gone? The show is done very tastefully, do not believe otherwise.
Lastly, you may never understand what T is going through. To not have a relationship with your own mother, well it sucks; especially after losing your dad. You are left feeling totally alone, the only person you have is your hubby & kids; and let's face it, not many marriages last these days; so that is always in the back of your head; or the thought of losing your hubby due to the dangerous sport. She knows she'd be truly alone if she loses you.
Ride safe.
Hi Dean,
Just wanted to tell you that your a great guy! Your like the most real Edward Cullen there is out there! Tori is a very lucky woman, but of course your a very lucky man as well, shes an incredible woman, a great mother, and a terrific role model, Just want to say hi, you have a great family! And your children are very beautiful,I don't usually say that about kids that aren't from my family, because theres some that are funny looking! But wow yours are adorable! oh btw, isn't it time for another sweet lil baby?? :)
you did all the right things Dean and you should be proud. Unlike
tonight's episode I was even nervous a little but you pulled through and got your racing liscense-congrats to you Deano-way to go :-)
Renate Uhl
Dean,
Congratulations on your license! I'm sure it was an unbelievable feeling. Can't wait to see Buggy's birthday next week, I'm sure it'll turn out wonderful..even though you are worried about Candy showing up. Take care!
Xoxo,
Jenny
I have never, ever commented before on someone's blog, but beging a fan of your family, I feel compelled to write in response to the blog that says, "You have been so unsupportive and controlling". You have been SUPER SUPPORTIVE and ANYTHING but controlling regarding Tori and her family. You have in fact been her rock! I enjoy watching your show because you and Tori are the most down to earth, real people I have ever seen on a reality show! Your commitment and love for eachother, your children, and your friends is an inspiration to all of us still searching for the "love of their lives"! Your actions show nothing but the unconditional love for your wife and the desire your have to protect your family. I truly believe if Tori and her mom ever find their way back to eachother, you will be her biggest supporter and champion. Congratulations on all of the success you and your family are having!
Dean will you PLEAE stop trying to keep Tori away from her family. You have been so unsupportive and controlling. I think you are afraid for her to reconcile with her Mom and brother and now it seems obvious that you have been in the background causing all the grief. Myself, and other people are starting to realize that you are not quite what you pretend to be.
You remind me so much of my husband. I am glad that you are back out there on the track, but I totally understand Tori's concerns. I know you know this, but just remember that it's just because she loves you. My husband and I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, so I can relate to what she is feeling. My husband just got back into motorcycles himself and it scares me, but I know that it is his outlet and it is the healthiest danger in his life (if that makes any sense). Anyways, best of luck to you both. You are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy, and beautiful family! Take care and be careful!
