GUNCLES
Mommywood
vs. the open letter
Tue July 14
The release of "Mommywood" was really exciting for all of Tori's close friends and family. She's truly a wealth of stories and such a talent! It's especially exciting for us because we only get to read her books the same day everyone else does - the day they're released! We don't take offense, since she likes to present the finished product with pictures. We have our own special "reading day" when a new Tori Spelling book is released. As with "StoriTelling", when "Mommywood" hit store shelves, we lay by the pool, and literally read the entire book from cover-to-cover. Let's just hope her next book isn't 3,000 pages long.
So, The Guncles like to wear funny shirts on occasion (don't judge.) We've been known to sport a "Donna Martin Procreates" shirt to the 90210 Season 1 DVD release party when Tori was VERY pregnant, or an "I Heart McDeany" shirt to one of Dean's races. We enjoy showing our support, so wearing sassy shirts to the "Mommywood" book release party seemed only natural.

Hi, I am glad you posted that comment. It's truly a personal nightmare having problems with your family. I did it of work with a therapist that helped me get in touch with my inner family and I became my own inner mother and father to the little hurting cinamons. I had to be validated that I didn't get the best and accept that I never would. I can now have a relationship with both parents based on what I want and when they hurt me or I'm in pain I go to a place inside a hold myself. I've grown up with Tori on my tv but I'm not of the opinion she's not just a girl who can't talk to her mom because it hurts. I want the kind of love I see from dean. Watching that gives me hope as I am separated from my husband. I am there Tori if you want to talk. Email me. I live by Encinitas, the grooviest town ever. We should do lunch.. Hehe wear a wig, I hate press. My husband us an audio eng..luv cinamon..suthbunny4@aol.com
Hi guys,
Enjoyed the show last night. You guys are right her mom is missing out on her own family, but it goes both ways.tori also is missing out on her mothers love and also her brothers love. Everyone keep sayings she needs to cut the ties and never ever speak with her mom again.I truly do not think thats the way to go. Instead of both parties going public, they need to meet face to face and talk privately, not on tori and deans show, but off camera. Tori grew up with a mother and father that gave her the best they could. There is no such thing as a perfect parent, they do the best they can. If her mom dont know where she lives then thats not her mothers fault thats her fault. life is too short and in the End You only have One Mom in the world and the day she close her eyes your friend will have a sense of guilt hanging over her head if they both dont grow up and end this, before its way to late.
Jacquie you looked great, all your friends (extended family) from your small town where Scout grew as a baby/toddler and then some, tuned in to see Scout and get a glimpse of you. We all knew you would be there. Your friend Mar is dying to talk to you, give her a call. Congratulations Scout and Bill!

The ceremony was every bit as wonderful as I remember! Thanks to Tori and Dean for being such wonderful and supportive friends to my sons!!! Much love to both of you!

Your ceremony was beautiful. Its nice to see to people so committed to each other. Congratulations and best wishes on your future. I am rooting for you guys to make another one of you dreams come true. I hope you get the child you want very soon.
Love you guys
Congratulations! I wish you both the best for many years to come...and I hope that your family grows with love and happiness...you are gonna be wonderful parents! Life should be lived surrounded by friends and family and it appears you have both! Support each other and the world will be yours!
I just cant wait till next wk. I just know that I will need some tissues :). I have a similar relationship with my father and it sucks to have to go through that. My father actually gets mad at me for not trying when he is not even around for me to try. It is very hard but when i am around my father and we are spending time as a family.... it doesn't feel like family. I have 4 kids that he doesn't even take the time to check on. It sucks but like you said she is missing out and for that it might be best for Tori, Liam and Stella. It just might not be a "family feeling" when she does come around and that might make her & them uncomfortable and she may pull away again, then that will just hurt worse. Some people are not born w/ the "parenting gene" as I call it. It is easier for me to let go the to try with all I am to love. I have tried to please my father but when I realized I never would I was happier! I wish her and you guys all the best. True family is what she has and all she needs.
Guncles = Love
LOVE you guys on the show!

I love you guys! It shows how much you mean to Tori and her family. I cried when you made the decision to adopt. The two of you will make WONDERFUL parents!!! I loved watching you with Stella at Liam's party. Best of Luck!
Hey guys! Congrats on the decision to adopt! My husband and I have also adopted and we know what an arduous journey it can be. I wanted to comment on something you said on the show. When you were meeting with your adoption counselor you were looking at other profiles, one of you said, "They are our competition!" We often felt that way too, but what I learned from our journey was that God already has YOUR baby picked out for you...no matter how great your profile looks, no matter how much you advertise, you will only get YOUR baby. So, don't worry about feeling inadequate or that you have to compete - there is no competition -- he or she is meant to be yours! A great book we read was "Secret Thoughts of an Adoptive Parent." It will make you both laugh and cry at the same time! Good luck to you - we waited 2 years, but when we saw our daughter being born, it was worth every second...and now she's OURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
I totally agree with you guys!!! She IS missing out. Tori, Dean, Liam and Stella are fab!!!!! What an awesome family!!! They inspire me to be better with my fam. I wish I could know them like you guys do. So lucky you two are. You guys are the best and I wish you both all the best, with all my heart, you are fabulous!!!!!! I hope you get to add that special addition to your fam as well!!!!!
You guys make a great addition to Tori & Dean's show; being such super important bff's/Guncles. In every episode, it is obvious in Tori's eyes just how special you both are to her and her family. On the Candy issue...hmmm, well, all I would like to say is that on SEVERAL levels from different and sometimes similar aspects, I have lived thru the same thing that Tori & Candy are passing by. I say that because I am now 37 yrs old, and My Mom passed away un-expectedly 8 yrs ago, when she was only 50 yrs old. We thought we would have forever to work thru our obstacles, since I have three daughters, they longed for the grandma-however, forever ended early for Mom, and I havent been able to forgive myself for not making the first move, and also for not being more consistant. Either way, we all know you will both be there to support Tori in either direction she may decide to take. Love the show!Im very very ill, have been for 5 yrs, but I NEVER MISS AN EPISODE-Thanks to all of you for "giving me something to look forward to" and most of all for "keeping me going"
So proud of my sons, the guncles...can't wait until next week's episode...I was there and it was

Hi guys -
Do they sell those shirts that you wore to the "Mommywood" book party? I think they're pretty damn funny and would love one for myself! Very clever!
Next week looks great!

Looking forward to next week's episode. I think it's great Tori and Dean have such supportive friends. Glad you are looking out for her. I've got the same situation with my mom. Wishing she would just reach out and WANT to be apart of her grandkids lives. It's so sad when they choose NOT to be.
Good luck with your adoption.
Love and blessings.
Guncles,
Next week's episode looks like so much fun! The dancing, the drag queen... I love it!
