Tori and Dean's main requirement in a new home was more SPACE! The old "new" house initially seemed like a good fit and very appealing in the open, airy way each room sort of flowed into the next. Unfortunately, although people could move around easily, so could noise (I swear, you could hear what someone else was thinking in that place!) and with a toddler, a newborn, and a menagerie of dogs and friends coming and going all the time, it started to feel like being crouched over in bumper cars at an amusement park, but with no helmets and no "ride over" bell. A small moment of peace and quiet? Doubt it!
The new "new" house is larger, and was thankfully in great shape at the start, with beautiful materials and fixtures already in place, so very little was needed to create the "Tori and Dean Look." And, more importantly, having just finished a, shall we say, CRASH COURSE in renovation and design on the old house, it was easy to transfer what already worked to the new space. Tori really wanted to make decisions quickly in order to have the house comfortable, lovely, and in working order from day one, mainly to make the transition as smooth as possible for Liam and Stella. So that just left the (mostly) fun part of deciding where to place furniture, adding decorative touches, and allowing everything else to evolve over time. This was the house they should've moved into in the first place!

I LOVE Tori and Dean's decor. My husband and I have a home that is a work in progress. Paint is on the walls now it is time to make this house a home. I too like Tori's headboard. Can you tell me where it was purchased and the name of the fabric used? Thanks. Looking forward to next season.

I'm a southern girl from Florida and I just get a kick out of you when you are at Tori's and you are such an awesome friend to her. I would love to hear you call Tori's Mom out for being the crazy Mom that she is to her. I think it's horrible.
I have a Mother who is jealous and totally understand where Tori is coming from. I have a Son who has DiGeorge Syndrome and I love him so much he will be 15 in December and they didn't think he would make it this far but has. Tell Tori just to keep on doing the best she can and not worry about her Mom I know it's hard but you gotta detach at some point and until her Mother grows up I wouldn't deal with her. I have done this myself with my own Mom and yes it hurts but there has got to be some respect as well.

Michelle- I see that you found out the fabric of Tori & Dean's headboard. Was it a custom headboard or did they purchase the headboard from somewhere? I love it and would love to buy it but dont want to have to buy the fabric and then find out how to put it together!!!

I think Tori and her mom need to sit together without the camera's. It would be a shame to have so much time go by and God forbid something happen to her mom and this never resolved. I really think her mom has alot of anxiety and in front of the camera is not where a meeting should take placee.
As a friend try to share this with her.

You seem to be such a good friend of Tori`s....A good friend is hard to find. A friend at all is hard to find. Anyways, I agree with you about Tori and Candy finding some kind of way to have a relationship one day. Life is way to short and the older you get the faster time goes by.

I watched the last season and I so had my eye on you when dean came around I have no idea why your only in a couple of episodes this season but I am so glad because I so thought you wanted Dean.

She's not on the show this year because Tori finally wised up!!! She realized that Suzanne wants Dean all to herself!!!! Suzanne, I'm sure you're okay, but it's sooooo obvious you want him or have already had him!!! and w/ "Dean-o's" track record......
Love Tori! She's awesome and kids are too cute for words!!! I'd even bet once she dumped some of this "baggage a.k.a. Suzanne & Dean-o", mama Candi will welcome her daughter/grandkids back w/ open arms!!!!

Suzanne - I need your help!!!
My daughter has a rare syndrome - Aicardi Syndrome. (You can get information at www.aicardisydrome.org) When she was diagnosed at 4 months old, I was told not to expect her to live very long. She just celebrated her 11th birthday this past February.
July 9-11, 2010 the Aicardi Syndrome Foundation will be holding it bi-annual Family conference in Chicago, IL. I watch Tori's show, have read her 1st book and am about to read her second, watched her on 90210, etc. Needless to say I am a huge fan. However, I am also an admirer of her skills of juggling such a busy career and being a good wife and mom.
Many of our mom's have to juggle careers, non-disabled siblings, doctors' appointments, etc. (For example, personally, I am a teacher, attending college working on my doctorate, being a soccer and volleyball mom to my 17 year old son, taking my daughter to various appts -she has 5 different doctors, and trying to find time for myself.)
I think that Tori would be an excellent role model to have at our "Mother's Tea" that weekend. The conference is actually an informational type conference with breakout sessions on different topics that affect our daughters (the syndrome only affects girls). However, next year we would like to have our first "Mother's Tea". I thought that Tori would be the perfect guest for that. The day of the weekend and time could revolve around her schedule - we would just be honored to have her.

and truthful and that is always good even if we do not want to hear it. You kinda of remind me of my best friend since Jr high going on 47 years.

I also feel that Tori and her Mother need to make up, if not for each other then for the childern.

they didn't even let me know when my Dad died. I got a letter a month after Daddy died form his Attorney. I have forgiven them, my thought is they are the ones who have to answer to GOD about that not me.

Suzanne has probably been in rehab. So glad I get a break from listening to her spout sage wisdom to Dean and Tori about how to run their lives. Would be more effective if she knew anything about marriage and kids. Down the hatch.

Suzanne, I loved to watch you in last seasons episodes. You are hilarious! you reminded me of one of my best friends that I used to hang out with but are lives are so busy now we hardly get to spend time together because of are jobs and families, not to mention we live quite a distance from eachother. keep up the great friendship you have with Tori, your the best!

This is such a nice blog you put together here and I, like so many people I know, LOVE the show and would certainly like to see you a bit more often. I love that dry sense of humor you have and your relationship with both T & D.
Honestly, I think the show is great. Very clever and so real for a reality show! I keep a post-it on my front door to remind me on Tuesdays.
I am looking forward to Season 10 although you all may be tired of it by then, I will not be.
