I totally identify with what Amber says she's been through with Scott. I moved to the U.S from my homeland for a guy who was "The One" for all the time we were doing the long-distance relationship thing. I left; my home, my family...my life to move to the other side of the world just to be with this guy because, well, I was young and in love... and ended up in an abusive relationship for 6 years and couldn't leave even though everyone around me told me what Amber said her friends were telling her. I didn't have the courage.

I finally found the strength 2 years ago and decided to stay in the U.S rather than go home because I felt I had come so far in my career out here and still had so far to go.

I literally had no money, no family and few friends because I wasn't 'allowed' to make my own friends while I was with my ex and two years later, guess what? I'm working for a huge and prestigious company and am doing really well and, most importantly, am happy! I met somebody new who supports me and loves me and my family and makes me feel whole.
