Coolio: It Ain't Over...

Well folks, it's been a long and crazy ride, and I hope you've enjoyed seeing the ghetto gourmet keep it real with his kids, music career, and catering business. And even though things between me and Artis look rough on TV, we always have a way or working things out.

Having my kids around and having them help me with the catering business has been off the chizle. And all your comments on this blog have been dope too.  My son Artis is talented -- there's no denying that. Will he make it as a rapper on his own two feet? You know he will -- he's my son!

So what's next for me and my kids? The options are infinite. Shaka zulu, baby! Keep it real.

I'm 44 as well - still trying to make as a solo lawyer near Atlanta, Ga. I've got a 7 yr old son; and I just wanted to say that I enjoy your show and it makes me wonder why I didn't check your music out back in the day - I think you scared me back then but being a product of a public education and having served in the Army (mainly National Guard)for 20 years and having been raised on the Rolling Stones and Reggae - well, I gotta take a trip down your melody memory lane, because I respect your efforts at being a better father and I like your style. Good luck to you in all your pursuits - your ex-girl sounded harsh - I admire your willingness to show that side of your life. You've got a new fan!

Coolio I love the way you keep it real in all aspects of your life you don't candy coat anything and this generation of kids need to know that anything worth having is worth working hard for everyone wants instant gratification these days but you stick to the old school rules which are the best rules keep up the good work with the fam, catering and music and hope to see another season and also I wanna know do you have a recipe for a dipping sauce to go with the soul rolls my family and I have tried them and love them but we need something to dip them in..........

Hey Coolio! First off let me say that I wish the show didn't have to end. I really enjoy watching you guys. One thing I can say is that you are a great father and very talented in many ways. I really want to know the recipe to your soul rolls to be honest but anyways I'm just watching the end of the show right now and when Artis leaves it really made me sad. I know he will realize soon what a great family he has and who really has his back. But Good luck with everything with the kids, career, and finding your soul mate I wish you and your family the best. TRY and get another show!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

I moved out at the same age of your son back in the day. I was bumping heads real hard with my Mom and basically knew if I wanted to live life my way I had to roll. You did the right thing by setting rules and regulations for them to abide by. Unfortunately, your son like many others is going to have to learn the hard way. Continue to support him and be there when he needs you because he will be back before it is all said and done. Defiance never gets is anywhere in the long run. I am a living testament! Blessings!

Dear Coolie
I am Ms. Davis.
I am so interested and curious about you and a possible us. I can relate to your cir #&@% stance with the kids, life, time, stability/foundation. I believe that god is the key to soul-mates. However, "I'd love" to meet you and possibly get to know you better.

Coolio,

I am 45, my sister is 44 and we are both single parents of 22 year old hard-headed sons. I have one brother, he and his wife have a 21 year old hard-headed son and five daughters ranging in age from 5-15. My sister and I spend most weekends at my brothers house cooking with the kids. Your show has become our favorite show because we so identify with what you deal with when it comes to your kids, but at the end of the day it is so worth it. We also share your love of cooking and were the owners of a Wing Franchise and catering business in Denver. Our kids had to work in the restaurant after school. We would love to trade recipes with you. We specialize in wings, cheese sauces and desserts. If you find yourself in Denver, Colorado look us up!!! Also feel free to E-mail anytime.

My husband and I enjoyed your show. Hope you come back for more! We have 4 kids, 21 & 15 year old boys and 11 year old twin girls. Watching the last episode where Artis moves out made us feel like we weren't alone. As I see from the comments here we definitely are not. We love our children beyond belief and have worked our asses off making something of ourselves to give them everything we missed out on as children. I left home at 15 and had my son at 17. I worked tirelessly to put myself through college and grad school. My kids like most, just don't seem to get it. They think life will be handed to them. My husband and I blame ourselves for that to some degree. But they see how hard we work and can't afford to buy a home (Bay area residents) and don't have the money for everything. I am honest and direct with them but also give them too much at times. I want them to be happy but I understand the fine line we all walk on trying to give our kids a great life but also show them to be respectful and appreciative. So watching your show let me know I am not alone and there are many parents out there struggling with their hard headed kids just like me. Keep it up! It is the little times like the girls setting you up on a date that show they care and maybe get a little bit of it.

damn homie, keep doing your thing your catering business look good as well. im impressed to know that other real men do things to put thier children on instead of acting all PETER PAN. like some of these other cats in the music game.Fa' Show! or as you say SHAKA ZULU!!!!!!!

Hey Coolio. "KEEP YOUR HEAD TO THE SKY"!! It has more than 1 meaning. You keep doing what you do. We pray for Artis!! And that he comes around. I tell my son, Enjoy while I'm here trying to be a part of his life. They need to appreciate that a Man/Father makes time to be in their lives when so many don't have that blessing. I didn't growing up. You keep doing what your doing, much success with cooking. It's a good friend you have there in Brother J. And your girls have your back. I know we don't get to see when the cameras are off, so we speak all is well. GOD BLESS.

Why isn't there going to be a SECOND SEASON!!

This show will always make you Laugh!!
Definitely needs a second season!!

You are a really amazing person. There should be more people in the world like you. Intelligent, grounded and talented. You are a pleasure to watch. Thank you

I think you have a wonderful show. I think you are a terrific Father! Your children are so loved and it shows.

God Bless.

I really hope the show isn't over Coolio. This is by far my favorite reality show. My life related to this show so so much.

The ending of the finale made me cry when you guys were all standing outside as Artis pulled out of the driveway.

I wish you the best, I'm a huge fan. I think you're a very loving and good father, and of course very talented.

I hope the show continues!!!

Thank you so much, Coolio.

Hi Coolio,

I'd really enjoyed watching your reality show. You are a very brave man to allow t.v. cameras to envade your family's privacy. To me that is like ministry, because you help others in how you relate to your children. Dealing with teenagers is no joke and how can we instruct others on how to interact with them if they had never experienced it themselves. I don't know if you will have another reality show, but if it's in the making, God's will, I will be watching. You and your family are in my prayers especially for your son. He reminds me of the prodigal son who left his family but eventually found himself and was welcome back home by a proud father. Much success to all your endeavors and may God bless you and yours.

He's still got it!!! I loved the song that you performed on the season finale. You rocked it like you were 25! I hope that you guys get another season. If I knew who to email, I'd suggest that there be another season. Artis is talented. I was a little worried when I first heard him in the studio, but he pulled it off on the beach and at the club. He's just going thru a phase right now. It was sad when he moved out, but it lightened the mood when one of the girls asked if she could have his room. By the way, Jarez has some good advice, also. He seems to be a genuine person that keeps it real, too. Much continued success, and may GOD bless.

COOLIE I LOVED SHOW I HOPE THERE WILL BE A SECOND SEASON.

Coolio, I was not sure at first if this was programing worth watching only because I had preconcieved assumptions about you. You surprised me!! I actually like your show, you make sense with what you are trying to accomplish with your life so that you can secure your future financially. I think that is what most people hope to obtain, and its a struggle and your show depicts this and it's real. I hope that there will be a second season.
Stay encouraged!!!

I'm 20 years old and I loved this show, although I like Snoop's show very much Coolio's Rules is way better. It tells of the struggles that even celebrities go through which are the same struggles that average people go through. I love his kids they are no different than any other kids, however what I like most about Coolio and his show is the fact that he tries to teach his kids life long lessons that will be with them forever. Although he could just give them everything like a lot of celebrities give there kids he doesn't. All I want to know is why was the series only six episodes? WE NEED MORE OF COOLIO's RULES. Please give him at least one more season. I AM NOT GOING TO WATCH ANYMORE OXYGEN UNLESS COOLIO GETS ANOTHER SEASON.

Hay there Coolio i enjoy your show i watch it every tuesday @ 9 p.m. i efen have my kids watching it if we miss it we watch it on demand a long with other shows i have to admit i love your swagg and how you taking care of your kids and that thing you did with artis i love show him the ropes let him know that all money aint good money i know you love but got learn the hard way and far as the girls but i understand those your girls so you want them to have the best my father is deceased so if he was here he will so the same thing you doing with the girls even at 31 so much love i hope you got another season coming you remind me of my ex when i was in eight grade

Hi coolio i just wanted to tell that my mom and i love your tv show and its hot y'all have to come out with another season thats how hot its.
