How are you going to be independent, when you don't have anything to show for your effort? The things you do have, have been provided by your father. However, I do understand that you want your independance, but in order to get it you've gotta work for it. You can't say it, and don't be about it. Because then all you are showing is that you are a talker, without being a producer. And alot of times as children we don't appreciate what's before us, and in your case (unfortunately), you come off as spoiled & ungrateful. I'm not sure what you and you're father may have been through, but the most important thing is that he's there now. So, give him that credit and stop trying to be hard. You don't have to fight your father be-cuz he's on your side. Fight them n***** out in the street who don't give a s*** about you, and let your father have your back.

No, young blood you may have an independent spirit but INDEPENDENT you are not. You live at home (with your dad comfortably), you are supported (by your dad comfortably), you "depend" on your father to support you and you need to respect that which is provided for you. I'm in no way knocking your "independent" way of thinking or your free spirit but you need to start counting your blessings. Everyone in the "the Industry" had paid their dues to get there and some have been more fortunate than others. Have you ever heard the saying "It's a dog eat dog world out there", well you best believe it. So if you have an opportunity to eat before the next man, "get yours" bruh and what I mean by that is take all the advantages that life gives you and be grateful because there are those behind you that wont eat at all, feel me. You are blessed. Respect that, use it. Take that knowledge that your Dad is giving you and do somthing positive with it. Become a role model to the young brothas out there who are watching who may not have your advantages.....

i have a situatin similar to yours; my little brother is the only boy living with 3 girls; but that doesnt make him act the way you do.. if you call "independent" being lazy & disrespectful then your the M0ST independent person on televiosion. you should be ashamed at the way you treat your father, at least he's trying. & hes doing a good job at it. your "independence" needs to lean more towards finding a job car & your 0WN place..... 0R helping your father out. When I saw you leaving home and your father and sisters were standing in the yard, it brought tears to my eyes. I have two teenage boys and their father passed away. If they were to walk out on me like you did, it would tear me apart. Your father/sisters were hurting at that moment. I'm from the neighboring area where your father is from, so I really, really understand his love and concern for you. He is only looking out for your best interest. I know you don't want to ask him for money all the time but you are blessed to have a father that can and is willing to provide for you. The streets are coldblooded and will swallow you up whole with no mercy, so I know for a fact that you will be alright with your father. Your father loves you. I think you should take it to heart and follow the rules. I guarantee that when you get older you will be greatful.
